This is a 4 week gym orientation program design to equip you with the knowledge to properly set you up utilizing gym equipment.

Here are some interesting statistics:

  • In 2009, 1500 people were treated in the emergency room after being injured on equipment at gyms.

  • Between 1990 and 2007, over 970,000 people were treated in emergency rooms for weight training-related injuries.

  • From 1990 to 2007, 114 people died from using free weights and weight machines.

  • It is estimated that 459,978 people were injured while exercising or using exercise equipment in 2012.

The number one reason for injury is the lack of knowledge with setting up and proper form on gym equipment. You may be new to HealthPlex or even new to fitness all together; you may be a novice or an expert this program is a designed to assist you in making sure you are empowered with the knowledge to be successful without injuring yourself.

This 4 week program will walk you through a comprehensive educational breakdown of all the equipment in HealthPlex. It is a progressive program designed to health you establish proper muscle memory that will empower you to improve your gym experience.

You will work 2 times a week with a nationally certified personal trainer who will guide and correct  form so that you will effectively be able to navigate HealthPlex.

Upon the completion of the 4 week course you will receive a Mike Walker Fitness QuickStart Certification, Our goal is to empower you into success.
